How your "happy meal" can turn sour in seconds
So it appears that someone has been pretty upset about his latest lunch. I managed to obtain some photos showing an unwelcomed ingredient in the dish. The story goes that someone was enjoying his lunch when he discovered a thoroughly cooked adult cockroach in the middle of his rice.
Eww. Imagine finding this particular insects in your food. It is enough to turn my pleasant lunch into one of my nightmares. The person was apparently eating at Sankranti Restaurant (yes, it is a restaurant in Singapore).
Personally I won't regard this incident to be signs of a massive cockroach infestation in its kitchens, or that the restaurant has severe hygiene lapses. It is more of me being freaked out by the sight of cockroaches and the thought of me seeing such a horrible sight in my own meals.
Anyway here is proof that the offending image of the dead cockroach above was from Sankranti Restaurant. Don't want to be accused of defamation. In any case, I hope the restaurant looks into this incident. It would be a nightmare to find more of such complaints. Do keep watch of what you eat; don't let your eyes be glued to your mobile screens when stuffing food into your mouth!
