This post is about sensitivity and sensibility.
So over the week of Aloysius Pang's death, some bright spark agent called "Sean Lee" decided to capitalize on the death. Sean uploaded on his Instagram a picture of Aloysius Pang with the caption, “Lol sorry I can’t grief for you because I really dk who the hell you are before the accident. Condolences to your family tho. But this serves as a reminder to everyone that accidents do happen. You can’t really avoid God’s plan so.. Get insured with me today before an accident leaves you dead with regret.” Naturally this post was met with much online flak.
Seriously what the fuck. My best guess is Sean was trying to use shock advertising to get into the limelight, but his gamble failed. The amount of social media criticisms he received was overwhelming. Some people even splashed out his phone number on the internet. The backlash was so bad that even IFPAS came out to slam him. Well done IFPAS for finally doing something meaningful!
At the end of the day, I would advise all aspiring young agents not to follow his footsteps. It is a one-way ticket to career suicide. Last I checked, Sean Lee took down his Facebook and Instagram account. Bye bye, so long sucker.
