So ends the cruelty.
I previously wrote about the Tampines Street 41 resident who installed a koi pond on his doorstep. Call me slow but I finally read about this good news that HDB had rejected his appeal. Good riddance.
This koi tank is a danger to passersby. I can only imagine kids drowning in it, or two-wheeled PMDs ramming into the glass tank if they are not careful. There is absolutely no reason why HDB should have approved of it. Common property is common property. I am glad HDB stood firm on this issue despite a certain MP's interference.
But there lies another problem now that the koi tank has to go. I notice that the fish have grown particularly large. So what will the owner do with them? Release the fish into a nearby water body illegally? Will the fish be unintentional victims of "murder"?
