There I said it.
It was in the news yesterday: HDB request the owner of the koi tank to remove it due to safety issues. I feel that HDB had pointed out accurate hazards about this fish tank. Plus the owner act smart and went ahead without applying for a permit.
The other problem I have is since HDB already pointed out the issues, I do not understand why Tampines Town Council is appealing on the owner's behalf? HDB should be the moral authority on this. I suspect it has to do with increasing political mileage for a certain MP.
In any case, the fish tank also appears too overcrowded. I can just imagine the poor fish suffering in that confined space. If the Town Council succeeds in the appeal, pretty soon everyone can claim the HDB corridors for their own petting safari. Perhaps I may even start a chicken coop on my corridor and we can really go back to the old kampung days.
