Whatever happened to graciousness?
Here we have another piece of drama on board our public train system. So this Facebook user "Sinnamin Tea" posted a complaint about how a man had allegedly snatched a seat from her female friend. In the attempt between both parties to settle this issue, the man was accused of hitting the female friend. The man was definitely not spared from having his photos splashed all across this Facebook post.
There could have been a lack of chivalry on the man's part. Why did he need to take the seat? Perhaps he was not feeling well? But he could have told the lady that he needed the seat instead of giving a rude reply "tell the auntie to get out of my seat then I give u your seat la".
However, the female friend is no angel either. She could have just let the incident go instead of being all vengeful by taking the man's photos with the intent of shaming him online. There is really a lack of proof that the man had committed the said offence. Also, does the female friend really need to take a seat?
These days it seems that everyone has to live in fear of being filmed for the most minor of issues. Why is there no way we can all try to live more harmoniously, and live and let live?
