Yep, we all have to start work from some where. The point of this post is not to poke fun at anyone. However to this day it amuses me how fresh grad agents can sell life insurance and savings plans to their peers despite some of these agents not having earned their first dollar or are cashstrapped. It's like the poor advising others how to get rich(er).
Of course, I was there before. It is only a matter of time before the commission becomes reasonable enough for us agents to survive and perhaps a little bit more. While certain individuals do make it in the industry, sometimes I laugh and wonder if we are the best advisers.
Looking back at my previous post, I mentioned about how some of us were pressured into making luxury purchases. From another perspective, I would wonder if anyone who put their money into a deprecating liability should be in a position to tell another how to insure themselves or save money. After all, car ownership in Singapore is exorbitant and driving on the roads sure puts us higher on the accident scale.
