Why some people cannot be flexible with rules
I received this image going around on social media posts. It looks like a Facebook conversation where someone called "Georgie Khoo" had reported an errant GrabFood delivery man for riding an escooter to the second level of her house. The bigger issue was that the GrabFood delivery person had just sent Georgie Khoo some food.
Even though PMDs had officially been banned from footpaths and void decks, this newly implemented law has put the livelihood of 7,000 PMD delivery persons on the line. What Georgie has demonstrated here is a lack of empathy for others, and a total disregard over what is "Rule of Law" and "Rule by Law".
I am also saddened by what I see on social media about public transport commuters who refuse to give up their seats to those who need it more. Why can't our society be more forgiving or graceful?
